What’s on:

With numerous free demonstrations and hands-on activities the festival offers a unique cultural experience for adults and children alike.

Be entertained by period musicians and puppeteers, test your sword skills against our armoured knights or your long bow skills against our archer, go on a quest for the Holy Grail, joust on a hobby horse, have your hair braided or skin henna tattoed, create beeswax candles or learn the art of  calligraphy.

Add to the atmosphere of the day and come dressed in period costume: knight, lady, merchant, serf, monk or even the King. Prizes given for the best dressed.

“One of the many highlights of the festival was seeing a 5-year-old princess sword fighting with one of the armoured knights and, ultimately, being victorious. A truly memorable experience. Can’t wait until the next one.”
